I think I just had the best lemongrass beef buhm mi in Melbourne! Comparable if not better than Springvale. Can’t vouch for the other food yet but I’ll be back to try it!Nice little dine in area too.
I wish the peanut sauce for the fresh roll was more thick so that it would stick to the rolls.The noodles were yummy!
Absolutely sensational chicken Pho. Best I’ve had. Broth was amazing and chicken was proper roast with skin and very moist. Will be back regularly for sure.Adding to this 3 months later: Still true, only now I'm going out of my way to come here as much as humanly possible. Highly, highly recommended. Not sure I've ordered anything else yet, even though it looks delicious. The chicken pho (made with sliced bbq'd/roasted chicken so the skin is on and tasty, whereas most used basically overcooked poached chicken) is still to die for.
A short 2 weeks work stint in the area and decided to give the bahn mi a try. Admittedly the reasonable price was the draw. However, the crispy pork bahn mi is actually pretty good. Coupled with their friendly speedy service, it is a good lunch place; helped by the ample seating in the area.
The banh mi is really delicious! The ingredients for the filling blend together wonderfully. I'm so glad to have such a tasty option right near the office
The beef pho has delicious broth.(Be very careful of the cut chilies though. They really pack a punch !)The Vietnamese staff are very friendly too(Probably the most friendly I have ever come across in a pho restaurant 🤭)The restaurant can get very packed during lunchtime. Best to come on a Friday when many office workers are WFH.
Extremely disappointed- ordered vermicelli to take away only to find out that if you order to ‘eat in’ the size is literally double the size! For the same price !! What a rip off !! Why not make this clear when you order??!!
The first time I had pho, I dedicated it to Pho Nung! It turns out to be such a healing flavor.
So I have tried 3 typical Vietnamese dish here. Pho, BBH and beef stew and they were all nice! Although they used pho noodles for BBH which is misleading but I guess non-Viet might not be able to tell.Also got charged $2 for a simple dinner roll which was overpriced in my opinion, hence 4 stars.
We had the most delightful dinner experience at Pho Nung 123 last night! From the rice paper rolls to the baos and the vermicelli salad noodle with lemongrass beef, every dish was simply delicious.The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning. Each dish was light, healthy, and bursting with flavor.A must-visit for anyone looking for a delightful Vietnamese dining experience!
Ordered a lemongrass beef Cóm for takeaway.Card payments made and order was ready to go in less than 5 mins on a quiet rainy summer Monday noon.Overall, the Cóm tasted nice. As seen in the pictures, beef was a little chewy and not the best quality I've had (considering its ~$17 meal, not $12 to $14 they used to be around the cbd). Dressing also wasn't wow hence the 4 stars.Might come back to try a Pho.
Great little Pho place. Prices are reasonable - pho and baguette combo for $20 is more than enough for a large lunch or two people.$17 pho and drink (water or soft drink) is greatPhone is good for eat in or takeaway as they package up the takeaway really well.Lunch time is super busy. Perhaps 1-130 for no crowds and fast service!Rice paper rolls are also fresh.
